On this day trip from Marrakech, you will discover the local villages, natural landscapes, and the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou fortress. You will travel in an air-conditioned van or car with Wi-Fi access. You will also visit the Atlas Film Studios in Ouarzazate, where many movies have been filmed.
The day starts with pickup from your accommodation in Marrakech between 7:00 and 8:00 AM. You will then drive into the Atlas Mountains, where you will stop at the small village of Ait Ben Barka. Here you can explore the area and learn about the sights you will see on your trip. You will also have some free time for a break.
After Ait Ben Barka, you will cross the Tizi n’Tichka pass, which is 7,415 feet (2,260 meters) above sea level. You can stop here to take pictures of the mountain peaks. You will then continue to the Atlas Film Studios in Ouarzazate. This is the largest film studio in the world, and it has been used in many movies, including Game of Thrones.
At the Atlas Film Studios, you will have some free time to visit the studios or to explore on your own. You can also take some pictures of the unique rugged local landscapes. After the studio, you will have lunch at one of the best restaurants in the area.
In the afternoon, you will head to the famous Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most extraordinary kasbahs (fortresses) in Morocco.
After visiting the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, you will drive back to your hotel in Marrakech. You will arrive in the evening, relaxed and full of memories from your day trip.
